Peek-a-boo!

PEEK-A-BOO!

Go on. Admit it. You haven't seen anything as cute as me in ages!

Random noises

Elliot has entered a new stage where he likes to make all these slurping, gleeking and sucking noises which can be really funny (and slobbery). He also has become quite fond of nodding. All this is quite hilarious except when you are trying to feed him his breakfast. I threw in the towel and made a video instead.

Jolly Jumping has its hazards

So you already know how much Elliot loves his Jolly Jumper so the first footage might be a bit redundant, but it sets the stage for the second video. He certainly showed no signs of any pain, the little toughie!

Now a couple of weeks later, his toe has healed and he now jumps with a thick blanket under his feet to prevent future injury.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

Happy Grandparent's Day to all of my fantastic grandparents, Gramma & rumpy, Nana & Grandad, and Gran & Grandad (and even to Great Gramma Flippity Flop although I haven't met you yet). What a lucky boy I am to have so many loving grandparents!

Beach baby, beach baby . . .

I can't believe we've already been home a week (maybe it has to do with being in a cold-induced haze since getting back to Perth), but the fond memories of swimming at one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, having fun with my adorable nephews and awesome nieces, and actually feeling warm for the first time in months are still fresh in my mind. Here are some photos of Elliot's first vacation and trip to the beach in Broome.

Elliot's a jetsetter!

Elliot took his first trip in an airplane last weekend when we flew up to Broome in northern Western Australia so that Elliot could meet his uncle, Rich, and cousins, Vinnie and Dominic. Elliot was an absolute angel on the flight up, but was a little bit fussy on the flight back. Luckily there was a one-year-old girl one row back who was pitching such tantrums throughout the trip that I don't think anyone noticed Elliot. I sure hope Elliot travels better than that little girl when he's her age, otherwise the trip to the States could be torture.

The funniest thing about the trip is just how much luggage Elliot needed for four days away. We packed his stroller and port-a-cot (playpen) and a massive suitcase full of just his stuff. Paul and I together only needed one small suitcase.
