I love love love these photos of Ollie at Jessica's Fairies and Wizards birthday party at the Fairy Shop. He was so excited to dress up as a wizard and even brought his own homemade magic wand from his magic science kit.

Zombie cake at Inflatable World

This year for their birthday, Elliot and Oliver each invited a couple of friends to join us at Inflatable World. Ollie was content to have an ice cream cake from the shops, but Elliot really wanted a zombie cake. I tried to convince Elliot that his mom was no cake decorator, but when he told me he knew I'd do a great job, I had to give it a go. Now I know that this isn't a knock-your-socks-off-marzipan-sculpture-type birthday cake, but for this craft-challenged mom, I reckon it's not half-bad. And the important thing was that Elliot was chuffed!

Real Batsmen

For the last night of cricket, the 'big' boys got to put on the proper batting gear and take a turn at actual bowled balls. I just love these cheeky proud grins!

Good times with good friends!

Thanks to Elliot whose been in the same class as these gorgeous gals' sons for the past two years, I've come to know these two great ladies. Thanks for all the laughs, Peta and Claire.

Happy 7th Birthday El!

We sure do love you, our adventurous, energetic, inquisitive snaggle-toothed kid! You amaze us with your willingness to try things, your curiosity about the world and your big beautiful heart! You thought I was going to say brain, huh? That's amazing too, but it's your sensitivity and your loyalty and friendship I've especially noticed this year. Back to School

These handsome little guys are off to Pre-Primary with Mrs. Scidone and Year 2 with Mrs. Harford and Mrs. Bell.

Elizabeth Quay

Perth's growing up, and with the grand opening of Elizabeth Quay, there's one more great place to bring the kids for a fun day out. Today the highlight was an amazing bubble performer putting on a show as part of Perth's Fringe Festival. There were also carnival rides and a laser light show over the water. Too bad there's not a decent place to get dinner down here yet!
