Easter Egg Hunting!
I had so much fun finding the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid that Vinnie and Dommie and I took turns hiding and finding eggs for hours! ~ Elliot

Elliot's Easter Footage
Surprisingly, Elliot didn't attack the egg-hunting with his usual gusto. In fact, his hunting was more tortoise and less hare, but in the end and with more than a little help, he did eventually find all twelve eggs.

Look out Easter Bunny, you've got some stiff competition!
How great is this photo for future child humiliation/blackmail? Maybe we'll have to enlarge it life-sized for Elliot's 21st birthday party!
You might also notice that Elliot is sporting some spiffy undies. Yep, after a trip to the store to buy some big boy undies as encouragement, the potty training is back on. AND only two days later he's doing most of his wees and poos in the potty. In fact, today Elliot went without a nappy from when he woke up from his midday nap until bedtime with no accidents!!! We knew he had it in him, he just needed the proper motivation.
He loves his new undies so much that he insisted on wearing to bed not one but TWO pairs over his diaper tonight.

My zoo!
Yesterday Mommy was really really brave and decided to venture to the zoo all by herself with Oliver and me. Lucky for her, both Ollie and I were on our best behaviour. Ollie slept most of the day in the stroller and hardly made a peep. As for me, I was just giddy running around and looking at giant elephants, goofy monkeys, aggressive tortoises, silly meerkats and so much more. And I was such a good boy; I almost always listened to Mommy and almost never ran off. We had so much fun that we spent the whole long day there, and both Ollie and I crashed out the minute we got to the car.
In fact, the day was such a success that Mommy decided to buy a membership so that we can go to the zoo any time we want just so long that I promise to not cry and throw a temper tantrum when it is time to go next time we come. ~ Elliot

Growing up so fast
Golly, my boys are changing and growing up so quickly. Elliot has now completely given up his crib and sleeps every night in his big boy bed. He's also trying to give up his afternoon naps altogether, but I'm desperately fighting that one especially because he is absolutely shattered by dinnertime if he doesn't get his nap. Elliot also climbs into his booster seat and does up his belt all on his own and uses a knife and fork. His coordination is getting much better too. Sure he still falls over all the time, but now he can jump with both feet and kick a ball and has quite an arm when he tosses the ball for Nacho. He's also starting to pedal his tricycle like a little maniac when we go for walks.
And holy cow, Oliver isn't quite six weeks old, and he's already changed so much and is growing so big so quickly. He flashes a big toothless smile quite regularly now, and I even heard him giggle once in his sleep which was ADORABLE! He's gaining really good control of his head, and he's starting to really pay attention to things especially watching his big brother (or the TV--oi vay!) But one of the saddest things is how quickly he is growing so big. He is already over 5 kilos (11 pounds) and has outgrown all of his newborn clothes and newborn nappies. And Elliot is a little moose too tipping the scales at 14.5 kilos (32 pounds). At this rate, they'll both be bigger than their dad this time next year!

Elliot's Special Talent
Elliot's been making this funny little sound for a couple of months now. And while we've all tried to imitate, nobody can do it quite like Elliot.

Look who's got a big boy bed!
That's right folks! I'm getting older, and Mommy and Daddy thought I was finally big enough to have my very own big boy bed. It's a really cool bed that grows with me as I grow. And I just love it for reading books and cuddling Mommy and Daddy. But when it comes to sleeping, I'd still much rather sleep in the tried and true comfort of my crib.
I've had a nap in the big boy bed a couple of times now but only if Mommy or Daddy lay down with me until I'm asleep and keep the monsters under it from crawling out and getting me. I keep looking under the bed and don't see them, but I know they are there all the same. Maybe Nacho needs to sleep with me to protect me! ~ Elliot
