We're a little behind schedule, but things are definitely happening now! Looks like we'll be at lock-up stage and be able to have a dip in the pool sometime between Christmas and when Oliver makes his big arrival. The house is really starting to look great and I only wish that I could master the skill of napping through the hammering and sawing and stuff like Elliot has.

Guess who's doing wees in the potty?
Elliot surprised the heck out of us the other day when he asked for the potty when Paul was changing his nappy. We ran and got the potty and would you believe that he had a wee!?!? Now he's asked for the potty and had a wee in it a handful of times, and now Paul and I are quickly reading up about potty training. To be honest, we weren't even going to attempt this next milestone until we settled in with Oliver, but since Elliot is asking for it, I guess we better follow his lead! I swear this kid, gets a kick out of keeping us on our toes!
Any sage advice on making this process as painless and stress-free as possible would be gratefully accepted.

Stay tuned . . .
. . . we're having technical difficulties. Camera/computer compatibility problems have made it impossible for us to upload any new photos/videos for a little while but that certainly doesn't mean that nothing is going on.
Oh, no. Things are crazy busy in the Thomas household. Paul's doing an awesome job organising all the details of our massive construction project. The bricks are all laid, the plumber piped the new bathroom today, the limestone footings for our fence will be going in tomorrow, and the roof will be put on next week. Everything is definitely happening now! And yes, it is a very dirty business. Thank god that I had the good sense to hire a housekeeper to come in once a fortnight and help keep some semblance of tidiness.
Oliver has been awfully busy too! He's definitely found his limbs and quite often wakes me up with an Irish jig on my bladder once or twice each night. I'm beginning to question my presumption that Oliver will be my mellow boy. One morning while he was being particularly rambunctious, it dawned on me that there really is no guarantee that just because our first little darling is a busy boy that the second one will be less so. We could be blessed with two little tornadoes! God help Nacho!
Speaking of Elliot, this little guy amazes his dad and I every day. I'm flabbergasted by the rate he is learning everything. New words come out of his mouth everyday and his imagination is really starting to blossom. He's begun to enjoy drawing and playing with Play-doh and has also started to get the idea of pretending. He and I like to take his finger puppets or Little People or whatever and act out stuff. Elliot particularly likes to have the animals eat the other animals "num num num" or kiss each other "mwah". Pretty cute, right?
Hmm, I seem to be the only one not really up to much! I've been having some girlie issues that are making this pregnancy quite difficult and require me to rest much more than I like (perhaps I'll expand about this in another post). Paul assures me that I'm doing very important work growing a little baby and all, but most the time I feel incredibly unproductive and frankly not much fun.
That's it for now. Not as cute as photos of Elliot in his Halloween costume, I know.
