The gymnasts

This last term, both the Thomas boys were enrolled in gymnastics for the first time. Elliot took to it immediately, and then his interest fizzled out a bit. Ollie was ambivalent about it the whole term and preferred to run around doing his own thing except for the one day that I brought my camera, and then he was a superstar!

Grumpy's here!!!

Mommy has been pretty silly and forgetting to take pictures of us with Grumpy, but she did snap this one of Daddy and Grumpy at the Dockers semi-final. Good thing he's going to be here until Xmas so that we have lots of chances for more pictures! ~ Elliot

P.S. The Dockers lost so maybe Grumpy shouldn't go to any more games!

Hangin' with the cousins

A surprise visit from Vincent and Dominic meant all the boy cousins gotta hang out for the evening. It warms my heart how well they all get along!

Our little track star

I couldn't have been a prouder, happier mama than I was the other morning watching Elliot take part in his school Athletics Carnival. The day started with the big races, and I was truly gob-smacked by Elliot who didn't just win his race, but won by a mile. I've heard from the ladies at daycare that he's quite the runner, and he loves to go on jogs with Paul, but maybe it's time we start looking into Little Athletics for our little champ! After the big races, the kids in junior primary took part in all sorts of fun relays. Such a super morning, and Elliot just beamed all day especially on the walk home from school when some older boys congratulated him on his excellent running. Just thinking about it makes my heart a couple of sizes bigger. Gosh this kiddo deserves this sort of feel-goodness!

I was so busy cheering that I couldn't be bothered with getting a picture in focus!

Bush Tucker and Native Medicine Hike

I've been wanting to take part in one of these aboriginal led native food and medicine walks since landing in Australia, but the opportunity just hadn't presented itself until earlier this month. It was worth the wait. Our guide was a crack up talking about all of his wives and had a wealth of knowledge about the land and native plants. And the boys enjoyed it just as much as me (they just love getting out in the bush!), and to be able to spend the day with Nana and Grandad made it just that much more special.

Ollie wasn't feeling photogenic.
