LEGO League Coding Club

After months of after-school practice and planning, Elliot and his team competed in the LEGO League Coding Club tournament. Unfortunately, the robot didn't manage to complete it's challenges as planned, but the team got lots of points and kudos for their great presentation and teamwork. And I was a proud mama watching Elliot in his element and also for managing his disappointment like a champ.

Elliot and Oliver have been taking Tae Kwon Do over the last couple of terms and they're getting pretty awesome, doing flying kicks and breaking boards like it ain't no thing.

Hillbilly 50th

Bonfires, live blue grass music, free-flowing wine served in juice jars, and a whole lotta hillbillies! What a perfect 50th birthday party for Paul's friend, Peter.

Concert fun

While I was out seeing Elton John with my lovely friend Claire, Paul took the boys to see Aussie band,  Sheppard. I think they had almost as much fun as I did.

A return to the Globe

Elliot and I were so excited to learn that a pop-up Globe Theatre was coming to Perth. And even though Paul and Ollie didn't want to join us for a showing of Hamlet, Elliot and I had a fantastic time with Rebeka and Rhiannon. In fact, I had so much fun, I went back again to see an evening performance of Twelfth Night with R&R. Fingers crossed that the pop-up Globe comes to Perth every year.
