Today I had one of those mommy moments that I'll never forget, one of those moments when I was so full of joy and pride that I couldn't decide between crying and squealing and ended up doing a little bit of both.
I went to pick up Elliot from daycare and when I put my arms out for him to come crawling to me, he instead took three big steady steps and lunged with a big hug and a smile. It was the most beautiful hug ever!
And this mommy was so full of pride that I told every single person I saw for the rest of the day that Elliot is walking!!!!
When we got home, I put Elliot down and he proudly toddled to Daddy to give him a hug too!
We tried to capture these first toddling steps on film, but Nacho was sort of blocking the view of Elliot's feet, but you get the idea anyway!!

It's soooooo fun when they start walking..totally a new world for them! And on a really positive note, Erik started sleeping better once he started walking because he was burning off lots more steam and energy. Congratulations on raising your baby...he's definitely a toddler now :)
Way to go Elliot! Katy still talks about Australia and Casey and Paul and Baby Elliot (who isn't so much a "baby" anymore!). We miss you bunches and we can't wait to see more videos of Elliot tearin' it up!

What and exciting time! One of the huge milestones in watching your children grow. You won't forget the day he first walks.
Elliot....Claire is just taking her first steps also. You two would have a lot of fun toddling around together.
