Soccer Boys

This year Mommy and Daddy signed Elliot and I up for soccer. Well, they tried to anyway. Turns out that I'm too young to officially play. Lucky for me, I got on the good side of our coach Shannon, and little by little I was allowed to play. First it was just at the training sessions. Then, so I could look like the rest of the guys, Shannon found me a pair of her old shorts (which are so big on me, I have to roll them down three or four times and they still look like a dress). And then one game morning, our team was short too many players, and I was there ready to step up.

Now I'm their regular go-to-guy. Officially I don't have any goals or assists and frankly, I rarely touch the ball, but every time they need an extra player I'm there (although sometimes I just decide to walk off the field to sit on Mom's lap in the middle of the game, but hey, I'm little).

Elliot, on the other hand, has really taken to soccer. He doesn't score a goal every weekend, but he's in it every game. Sure, his first game he spent more time on the grass than on his feet, but now that he's realised that the whole game isn't about slide tackles, he's actually gotten really good, just ask him! ~ Ollie

Just have a look at our soccer skills:
