The Thomases decided to go to Bali. And we decided to do it in style (mostly because we got a killer deal on a fancy pants hotel). Now fancy pants hotels aren't normally our cup of tea, mostly because everything at fancy pants hotels costs so bloody much, but the idea of a kid's club with a rock wall and water slide and a beautiful private beach just sounded so appealing. The funny thing is that the kids really didn't like going to the kid's club, and the only time we actually stepped foot in the ocean on our private beach, I nearly got my foot broken by a large piece of wood that came torpedoing at us.
Despite this, we all had a great time. The swimming pools were awesome. The room was gorgeous. And the daily free breakfast buffet kept us full nearly until dinner. Just have a look at this place!
Just down the road from the hotel, we discovered this lovely little beach restaurant. We explored the beach and had a super time laying around in their lounge chairs enjoying cocktails and smoothies that we could actually afford.
And, we were super lucky that my friend Shaye and her family were also in Nusa Dua so we all caught up for dinner at the awesome Pirate's Bay Restaurant. Ollie and Barbud and Elliot had heaps of fun exploring all the pirate ships and tree houses and the adults enjoyed trying out the cocktails.
