We must have really angered the weather gods because while in Zadar, it rained pretty much non-stop. We braved the rain and ventured out of our cosy apartment to check out the Roman ruins of the old town (and eat some yummy pizza) and to see Zadar’s two amazing famous art installations by Nikola Bašić:
The Sea Organ - a series of steps leading down into the sea which produce eerie melodies when the waves push air and water into resonant chambers under the steps.
Greeting to the Sun - a large circle of thousands of lights just metres from the Sea Organ which are charged up by the sun during the day and put on quite a show at night.
We weren’t able to capture a great video of the sound, but you might want to check out this one that I found on YouTube.
