Just wanted to add a quick post that our appointment with the pediatrician was fantastic. Dr. Kennedy took one look at Elliot and said "There is nothing seriously wrong with that little boy. He's just had some bad luck with being sick." When I pressed if he was completely sure (I told you that I've been in a panic), he assured me that kids who have serious immune problems, cancer etc. look unwell. They're not happy, they're small, they're lethargic and they're certainly not as cheeky as Elliot. Okay I added that last part.
But he is getting cheekier and cheekier. Today while he was with me on campus, he stopped and was just staring at this young woman who was walking toward us. As she approached, he gave her a big smile and WINKED at her!!! (When did he learn to wink?) She immediately cracked up and said that he made her day. What a casanova!
Anyhow, back to the doctor's visit . . . so we decided to not put Elliot through the discomfort of some pretty extensive blood tests and just cross our fingers that with summer nearing, he'll be sick less often. Interestingly, Dr. Kennedy told me of some recent studies (when I told him that I feel guilty having Elliot in daycare part-time) that have shown that kids that who were in daycare are less likely to have allergies and even cancer as adults! So all of us moms with kids in daycare shouldn't beat ourselves up so much!

Good news indeed!
Boys will be boys. Just have never seen one be such a flirt at such a young age. Elliot!
You and your brother should be really healthy then as you were both 5 weeks old when your day-care career started.

Way to be Elliot! The cheekiness, the flirting. A few sniffles ain't got nothing on you, little man! Glad to hear things are looking good.
We are so glad to hear about Elliot but sorry to hear that he is/was so sick! I remember putting Evan in daycare at 10 months in Sept and he was sick all the way until feb/march including a hospital stay due to rotovirus from day care and boy did I feel guilty! but knowing that he has lower risk of cancer/ allergy I'll take it and he is great now. Thought they would have to put tubes in ears and they cleared up! Let's hope the same for Elliot and by the way, Evan wants to know where are the videos! They really like to see Elliot talking, playing! take care, love, Jen
