Sleep Walking

We've recently learned that Elliot is a sleep walker. He may have been one for some time, but because he is such a with-it sleepwalker most the time, we've only just twigged onto this fact.

The night we worked it out, Elliot got up for a drink of water while we were still up watching TV. Nothing new. Only this night, Elliot got the giggles while having his drink. We thought he was being a sneaky ninja or something and asked him to come into the TV room. When he did, he couldn't stop laughing, and when pressed for a reason for his giggles, the kid made no sense whatsoever (partly because he couldn't stop giggling and partly because what he was saying was pure crazy talk!). Paul asked him to come sit on his lap, and as soon as Elliot did, he fell immediately to sleep. It was kinda like when a hypnotist says "And sleep". Really freaky.

Since then, he's amused us on several other occasions. One when he weed in the rubbish bin and another when he stumbled into the TV room with this bruise all puffed up on his cheek . . .

. . . and talking all sorts of gibberish. I was concerned that he might have suffered a concussion and had him come sit on my lap so that I could try and get a few answers out of him. Instead I got weed on. As soon as he felt us starting to get wet, he woke right up and started sobbing from the confusion, the embarrassment, and the incredible pain in his cheek. Exactly what happened when he banged his face will remain a mystery.

Elliot, sweetie, with you in this house, your dad and I will never be bored.
