Katherine Gorge is really a series of gorges with the need to portage between them. Being rookie paddlers, we signed up for the half-day kayak experience which included a boat trip up to the second gorge where we spent a relaxing morning taking in the incredible beauty, admiring some ancient rock art, and splashing in the water. Ollie even got to do a bush poo on one of the more private rock ledges. He would become an accomplished bush poo-er by the end our trip.
